What is VerifEye™?
VerifEye* is a mobile app for iOS or Android phones that quickly and accurately validates truth by measuring involuntary eye behavior. VerifEye tests can be self-administered anywhere in about 10 minutes in almost any language. It significantly changes how the world verifies truth. World renowned scientists developed the original ocular-motor deception test in 2003 and through extensive research, they’ve made improvements ever since — including this significant milestone.
How is VerifEye used?
Using a standard cell phone, along with some patent-pending techniques, you can accurately verify the truth for these scenarios:
- Employment: Vet job applicants or contractors or to monitor existing employee or contractor behavior.
- Identity: Validate a person’s identity for financial services, to verify the truthfulness of a self-reported, personal or professional profile, or to validate a person’s identity for access control.
- Creditworthiness: Determine credit risk for new client accounts, loans, or lines of credit.
- Claims: Verify the truthfulness of insurance claims, to test for compliance with a treatment program or parole terms and conditions, or to resolve allegations of infidelity or sexual misconduct.

What equipment is needed to take a VerifEye test?
The following are minimal requirements to take a VerifEye test:
(1) a participant with an Android or iOS phone on which the VerifEye app is installed and
(2) a test link which is used by the participant to access a specific test. Test links will be created by Global Data Fusion a Converus Service Partner in the Converus Dashboard and will be sent to the examinee via email.
How are VerifEye tests written?
VerifEye tests are based on the Audio Multi-Issue Comparison Test (AMCT) protocol released in 2019. The test protocol was developed by Dr. John Kircher. The test supports three relevant topics and a comparison topic. Testing is comprised of three parts: (1) pre-test instructions, (2) practice test, and (3) test administration. Average testing time is approximately 10 minutes.
How do I take a VerifEye test?
A test link is created by Global Data Fusion an authorized service partner of Converus and sent to the participant by text message or email. The test link is unique and tracks the participant, as well as the specific test. If the participant clicks that test link on their mobile phone, one of two things will happen:
- If the VerifEye app is not installed, the participant will be directed to the corresponding app store to download the app. The participant must accept the license agreement, consent form, and grant access to the phone’s camera, mic and speaker. The participant will then be instructed how to take the test and the test will be administered (either self-administered or by test proctor). After the test is successfully administered, it will be scored and the results will be available Global Data Fusion.
- If the VerifEye app is already installed on the phone, the participant will be instructed how to take the test and the test will be administered, either self-administered or by a test proctor. After the test is successfully administered, it will be scored and the results will be available to Global Data Fusion a Converus Service Partner.
During testing, the participant will hear a digital voice give instructions and ask test questions verbally. The participant should answer test questions verbally. Reading is not required during this test. Eyeglasses should be removed, if any. The participant may use contact lenses.
Where should a test be taken?
The participant should be in a quiet room without distractions. The use of ear buds is not recommended. Room lighting should be moderate and uniform; the participant should avoid sitting near light sources such as a window, TV, computer monitor, or other light source.
Does the test require Wi-Fi?
It’s recommended the mobile device be connected to a Wi-Fi network (rather than a cellular network) to ensure optimum test administration, data collection and analysis, and scoring.
How accurate is VerifEye?
Test results are scored with artificial intelligence by a logistic regression algorithm with near 80% accuracy. It considers pupil dilation, eye movements, blinks, and other physiological measures. Dr. John Kircher, co-inventor of the digital polygraph (computerized polygraph), has developed polygraph and ocular scoring systems since the 1990s.
How can I get the results?
Participants/examinee’s will receive results via email once the examination is complete. A Converus Credibility Score shows the probability the person was truthful.
